This Privacy Policy explains how UrbanTVFix ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit www.urbantvfix.in (the "Website"), book our TV repair services, call our toll-free number or contact us on WhatsApp. By using the Website or our services, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly. When you submit our booking form, call us or message us, we collect:

  • Your name and mobile number;
  • Your address and pincode (so our technician can reach you);
  • Your TV's brand and the problem you describe;
  • The contents of any calls, messages or emails you exchange with us.

Information collected automatically. When you browse the Website, standard technical information is collected through cookies and similar technologies by our analytics providers, including: pages visited, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, how you arrived at the Website (for example from a Google search or advertisement), and advertising click identifiers (such as Google's gclid). We do not see or store your IP address on our own systems - the Website is a static site with no server-side data collection of its own.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your booking request, call you back, and schedule a technician visit;
  • To carry out, invoice and provide warranty support for repairs;
  • To send you service-related communication (for example visit confirmations) by phone, SMS or WhatsApp;
  • To understand how visitors use the Website and improve it;
  • To measure the performance of our advertising and detect invalid or fraudulent ad clicks;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone. We do not send marketing spam.

3. Who We Share Information With

Your information is shared only with the following, and only to the extent needed to serve you:

  • Our technicians - your name, phone number, address, pincode and TV details are shared with the technician assigned to your booking;
  • Form delivery service (FormSubmit.co and/or Web3Forms) - your booking form details pass through these services to reach our email inboxes;
  • Google (Tag Manager, Analytics, Ads) - anonymous usage and advertising data as described above, governed by Google's own privacy policy;
  • WhatsApp (Meta) - if you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, your messages are handled under WhatsApp's terms and privacy policy;
  • Authorities - if and only if required by applicable law or valid legal process.

4. Cookies and Analytics

The Website uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand visitor behaviour - which pages are viewed, where visitors come from, and which actions are taken (such as tapping our phone number, opening WhatsApp or submitting the booking form). These tools set cookies in your browser. We also record, in your own browser's local storage, a count of how many times your device has arrived via one of our advertisements within 24 hours; this is used solely to detect advertising click fraud and never leaves your browser except as an anonymous event flag.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, use your browser's private/incognito mode, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The Website remains fully functional without cookies.

5. Data Retention

Booking details received by email are retained in our business inboxes for as long as needed for service delivery, warranty support (30 days from repair) and our business records, after which they may be deleted. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' configured retention period. You may request deletion of your information at any time (see Section 7).

6. Data Security

The Website is served entirely over HTTPS. Booking form submissions are transmitted over encrypted connections. Access to the email inboxes that receive your booking details is limited to our operations team. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the nature of the information handled.

7. Your Rights

Under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information of yours we hold;
  • Request correction of inaccurate information;
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to any legal retention requirements;
  • Withdraw consent to further contact from us at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 10. We will respond within a reasonable time.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page; continued use of the Website after changes are published constitutes acceptance.
